Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Disseminated Seeds of Inspiration for Youth in Prisons of Haryana

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the youth icon of the country, Antarkranti (The inmates’ rehabilitation program of DJJS) organized a weeklong series of events from 5th January to 14th January across the various prisons of Haryana, carrying the inspirational directives of Swami Vivekananda Ji to the youth in prisons.  "All powers lie within you; you can do anything and everything", said Swami Vivekananda to the youngsters and the same was Antarkranti's sermon on The Youth Day of India.

The series commenced with a 2 day event at District Jail, Jagadhari on 5th and 6th January 2017 which captivated the attention of 350 inmates, followed by a daylong event at District Jail, Karnal on 12th January which was attended by 125 inmates who enthusiastically showed their devotion by singing bhajans. The last leg of the series was held at District Jail, Kaithal on 14th January and witnessed the presence of 190 males, 15 females and 6 kids. The events were led by Swami Abhedanand Ji, Swami Subhodanand Ji, Swami Yogeshanand Ji, Sadhvi Sumuksha Bharti and Sadhvi Priyanka Bharti Ji (Preacher disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Head and Convener of DJJS).

The programs were studded with divine and motivational thoughts of Swami Vivekananda beautifully imparted by the preachers and inspirational bhajans sung melodiously. In all the events, the preachers brought to fore the extent of faith Swami Vivekananda reposed in the youth of the country, and the qualities that would enable the youth to come out as heroes whom the world will revere.

The series of events received an overwhelming response from the prison authorities as well, who showed their earnest presence on the occasion at all three locations.  The authorities also applauded Antarkranti for its commendable endeavour.
