Seminar on ‘Penal Reforms and Restorative Justice Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh
The Programme Head of Antarkranti was invited to join the two-days international seminar on ‘Penal Reforms and Restorative Justice’ organized by Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh in collaboration with Social Action Foundation For Equity, (2-3 December, 2013). A slideshow was presented that showcase an intimate connection developed between the prisoners and the environment; prisoners willingly participate in establishing and maintaining herbal garden inside Tihar. In addition to this, they make herbal products which ensure environment sustainability and vedic chanting that creates a positive and relaxing atmosphere all around. The foreign delegates felt that there is a lot to learn from India and the work inside the Indian prisons.
